I am a philosopher. My research spans the philosophy of action and mind, metaphysics, philosophy of science, and civil liberties.

Dr. Janice Chik (Breidenbach) is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Ave Maria University, Member of the Aquinas Institute at Blackfriars Hall at University of Oxford, and Senior Affiliate of the Program for Research on Religion and Urban Civil Society at University of Pennsylvania. Beginning in January 2023, she will be Visiting Professor at the University of Florida. She has been appointed Visiting Research Scholar at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford, in 2017 and 2019. Previously, she was appointed the Barry Foundation Research Fellow and Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds degrees in domestic and international public policy, philosophy, and musical performance from Princeton University, University of Texas at Austin, and University of St Andrews in the UK.
